Competent qualified CDM Co-ordinators can ensure that you adequately perform all your Health & Safety statutory duties.
The revised CDM Regulations in April 2007 gave clients greater responsibilities for all types of construction projects and in particular notifiable and high risk projects.
Critically, clients must appoint a competent CDM Co-ordinator for all notifiable projects to act as an empowered Health & Safety Advisor to protect them against potential breaches of Health & Safety. Failing this, clients become legally liable for the work that the Co-ordinator should do, as well as for not making the appointments.
